Packme Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Packme is operated by Kokuko GmbH, Welchogasse 8, CH-8050 Zurich, Switzerland, the controller responsible for the personal data described here. Contact support@ringodesu.com about privacy or your data.

Your luggage and trips

Your luggage, its colours and contents, saved sections and unshared trips are stored on your device. We do not receive your whole library.

If you share or join a trip, we store its name, destination, dates, notes, sections, items, quantities and packing status on our servers. Other participants can see shared content, your chosen name, avatar colour and who has packed an item. Only me sections are also stored on our servers but are returned only to their creator, not other participants. Local luggage names and links are not uploaded as part of sharing.

Anyone with a valid join code may join. Leaving a trip or changing visibility cannot erase copies others already received.

Online features and service data

We use this data to provide the features you request, for our legitimate interests in maintaining and protecting Packme, and to meet legal obligations. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising across apps.

Providers and transfers

Our backend uses DigitalOcean hosting in Frankfurt, Germany, Google Gemini for AI and Sentry for error monitoring. Apple processes App Store purchases. This website uses Cloudflare for delivery, which receives connection details such as your IP address. Providers may process data outside Switzerland, the UK and the EEA, including in the United States. Where required, applicable adequacy decisions or contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses, govern these transfers. Contact us for details.

Keeping and deleting data

You control your device's local library. Finishing a shared trip archives it; leaving or deleting the app does not erase server data or other participants' copies. In-app deletions can retain server records needed to synchronise changes. Contact us to request server-side deletion.

We retain shared content for collaboration and history, and installation, purchase, usage, security and support records while needed for their purpose, disputes or legal duties. By default, full AI prompts and results are not retained in our execution records; generation and usage metadata are retained. Provider backups and security logs may persist longer under their retention settings.

Your rights and choices

AI and trip sharing are optional. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability or restricted use of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing. Email us to exercise these rights. We may need information identifying the relevant installation or trip; do not send passwords or access tokens.

You may complain to the Swiss FDPIC or your local data protection authority. We will update this policy and give additional notice of material changes.
